Tree of Beginnings

The Tree of Beginnings, more commonly known as Tentar Imbal, stands within the Imbal subregion, whose name means "Beginnings" or "Birth" in the Reynixian Tongue. It is regarded as one of the few legendary Sylvanites known all across Astracel. Its towering crown stretches far above the surface, so high that many Aerial Estalons use its branches as resting grounds. Meanwhile, its immense roots descend deep into the caverns below, reachable only through a gateway in the Cavul subregion, which itself is heavily guarded by the Shaoul Varon. It is said that the Tree was planted by a God who lived as a mortal and belonged to a clan whose name has long since been forgotten, once part of the Dynasty of Murok Nad’Il. The Tree itself continues to grow, and grow, and it is believed it will never stop. Though its progress has slowed over the years, it still expands little by little, while its roots slowly connect the entire world.
At the heart of these roots lies an ancient city, and while the Shaoul Varon inhabit it now, it existed long before them, and even before the Tree began to grow. The city, whose name has been given as Cutric Kobalni, guards something most people know as Varon Calni, directly translated as the Core of Life. It is a sacred source said to have birthed every single Shaoul Varon that has ever lived, and every Shaoul Varon that will ever live.

While the Shaoul Varon are the protectors of life itself, the Tree has given rise to several additional guardians tasked with protecting the world.
The Guardian of Nature: Namsar Cavul
The mighty forest guardian, whose sacred flames burn away rot and decay while restoring the land itself. While the Shaoul Varon guard Varon Calni and the gateway leading towards it, this beast protects the surface above. It not only defends the Tree itself, but also the numerous Shaoul Varon villages built into its vast structure.
The Guardian of Time: Indur Cavul
The mighty mountain guardian, whose flames burn away malicious intent in the present, restoring balance to the past while safeguarding the future. It is said this beast carries the branches of time upon its head, making sure life remains in balance as much as it can. Those who face this beast with malicious intent are said to never return to their own time.
The Guardian of Death: Sintruk Cavul
The mighty ocean guardian, whose flames burn so cold that they leave the terrain untouched while devastating those who make contact with them. It is said to have been created by bringing in the blood of one of the Underworld Goddesses and "feeding" it to Varon Calni. It guards the ancient temples that have long since sunk into the Sea of Death. And while the other guardians have been seen countless times, this beast’s last recorded sighting was during the fall of Malvata and its people.
