Fractures are the so-called "portals" that act as gateways between
Astracel and other connected worlds. While their exact origin remains unknown, one belief held by the
Hydromancers, specifically within the
Kakachiruc faith, may hold some truth. Based on research conducted by multiple organizations working alongside the
Inser Foundation, several fundamental rules governing these phenomena have been identified. One of the most fascinating is what we refer to as the DNA scan. When an individual enters a fracture, they are first transported into a small pocket dimension known as a void room. This space resembles an endless, dark chamber with two openings; one behind and one ahead. The environment is completely empty, with fog naturally forming throughout. Upon entering, a scan of the individual’s DNA is performed almost instantly. If the structure matches that of a race linked to the destination world, the fracture on the other side opens, allowing passage. However, location also plays a role. For individuals of mixed heritage, entry points can influence the outcome. If one enters a fracture not aligned with their biological origin, they will simply pass through it as if it were intangible.
Although naturally unstable, modern methods have been developed to replicate and stabilize these fractures, allowing controlled travel between worlds. While living beings cannot freely cross into worlds not aligned with their biology, non-living materials can pass through without restriction. Fracture entry points exist across many locations, but it is important to note that if someone enters
Astracel from another world and attempts to return, they will always emerge at the exact location they originally entered from. This is due to the random and unstable nature of natural fractures. One recorded case involved a group of metro riders who unknowingly passed through a fracture and, upon returning, found themselves stranded within a metro tunnel.
While entry points vary, exit points remain constant. Each world is connected through enormous ancient skull structures. From
Earth, travelers arrive at the skull known as "
Kadori", located within the cave systems of the
Soronic Mountains. From
Satari, they arrive at "
Humba", beneath the
Novaria region. From
Odyra, they emerge at "
Nisma", within
Savaloria Lake. From
Keravisi, they arrive at "
Limar", in the southern reaches of the
Umbra region. From
Pyrhh, they appear at "
Simara", beneath the
Savav Volcano, surrounded by flowing magma. And finally, from
Myalga, they arrive at "
Isme", located within the vast open cavern connecting the
Sostos Mountains and
Vagan.
