Fisfol
Fisfol are playful Estalons native to the fiery land of Scorchava, recognized for their mischievous and friendly interactions with Eldranes. These creatures belong to the Magmatic category, as their bodies naturally crack and release molten lava from within from the moment they are born. Despite appearing unstable, this process is entirely natural and part of their biology as members of the Thermyko family. At the tip of their tails, they grow a Mykorite Crystal, formed as leaking lava gradually solidifies. While initially fluid during development, the crystal hardens once it detaches, and the lava continues to regenerate. These crystals possess their own gravitational field, allowing molten material to reattach itself seamlessly. At the center of their chest lies a rare Schorivite Crystal, which serves as the core of their life force and can only be obtained upon their death.
Despite their volatile nature, Fisfol are relatively small, growing to about 60 centimeters in height. The Schorivite Crystal generates extreme heat, reaching temperatures of up to 1200 degrees Celsius, sustaining the creature without the need for food or water. Instead, it absorbs surrounding magma to stabilize the body. Fisfol are often seen moving in groups and have even been domesticated by the Ignarans as exotic companions. While generally harmless, their average body temperature of around 1000 degrees Celsius makes physical contact dangerous. Their resilience, adaptability, and playful nature make them a unique yet hazardous presence within the Magmatic regions of Astracel.
