Salamander Foxpups are fox-like Estalons rarely seen on the surface, instead dwelling deep within sprawling underground cave systems beneath the Resnim Forest, where the woodland meets the Savannah. These creatures are exceptional diggers, carving out vast tunnel networks so compact that most Eldranes would never notice them, let alone fit inside. Despite their impressive engineering, Salamander Foxpups do not operate alone. They share a tightly bonded symbiotic relationship with the Stegorix. While the Foxpups excavate and maintain tunnels capable of housing hundreds of their own kind, along with entire Stegorix groups, the Stegorix provide food in return. Their offerings range from small insects such as Ykalmino and Cerescop, to rodents like Shelpon, and even fish larger than a single Foxpup. Beyond their digging abilities, Salamander Foxpups possess an extraordinary sense of smell, allowing them to detect any intruder or foreign object almost instantly. When threatened, they respond swiftly, using razor-sharp claws and flaring their massive ears to appear larger and more intimidating.
