Near the coastline of the
Gavamoga Jungle lives a remarkably social
bird known as Caudipeyx spectra. Though they nest in the high canopies of towering trees, these
Estalons are often seen wandering the forest floor in search of insects. Rather than flying to catch their prey, Spectras rely on their naturally camouflaged plumage. Due to the limited vision of the local bugs, these birds can easily sneak up on their targets undetected. Their friendly nature extends to all races of
Eldranes, and they have even been observed offering food to friendly passersby. The constant crashing of ocean waves along the coast helps mask their movements, further enhancing their stealth. Despite their social tendencies, Caudipeyx raise their young in a surprisingly hands-off manner: the mother departs immediately after birth, and the father follows within two to three weeks, leaving the fledglings to fend for themselves. Fortunately, the region lacks many natural predators.
