Zanazua are one of the most common types of Fae known on Astracel, yet they hold a rather infamous reputation. They can be found within the magmatic wastelands of the world and are often encountered in enormous groups, sometimes so vast that their true size is impossible to comprehend. While the name Zanazua gives little indication of their nature, the Ignaran have given this troublesome Estalon the nickname "the Ember Joker". These small creatures take great joy in playing pranks on unsuspecting targets. While most of these tricks remain harmless to its inhabitants, visitors from other Eldrane species are far less fortunate. Their "jokes" can quickly escalate, sometimes resulting in serious harm or even death. Many have proposed exterminating these creatures entirely, but such actions are strictly forbidden under Inser Law section 7, note 1: "Any Fae species is protected by the Shaoul Varon and should be treated as an endangered species". The only reassurance we have is that these Estalons cannot leave the extreme temperatures of their native environment.
