Noctis Fae were the first Mythical Estalon discovered on Astracel and are one of the few entities that not only blur the line between Estalon and Eldrane, but also between Spirit and Spiritual Creature. They were originally classified as an "Alofnik" due to their ability to shift between planes of existence. However, they have been observed influencing the physical world in ways no other phantom can, which led to a reevaluation of their classification. This was not the only factor behind the change. According to the Kavsanzhiy, a faith followed by the ancient Kalvamari, ancestors of the Terrans, the Noctis Fae were known as the "Devourers of Spirits". It is said that shortly after death, one would appear before each lost soul, while to the living, they would always be seen from behind. Before any action could be taken, the Noctis Fae would consume the soul and vanish without a trace. However, this is not the only recorded interpretation. According to the Kyrgozan Faith of the ancient Malavotins, the Noctis Fae were instead regarded as "Guardians of Spirits". Rather than consuming souls, they guided them toward the Judgement Realm "Intor", where the Goddess Skylaros would pass judgment, sending them to either Da’kul or Ma’ru. It is due to these contrasting beliefs that they are now classified as "Ajimon Ravuf". Another key factor in this classification is their physical paradox; while their forms can sometimes be seen, matter passes through them as though they do not exist, yet they still leave behind evidence that can be physically interacted with.
